Documentation Criteria

Students seeking accommodations and/or services are encouraged to contact OARS prior to or after being admitted into С²ÝÓ°Ôº.  There is no automatic referral from Admissions or other С²ÝÓ°Ôº offices.  Furthermore, the University has no legal obligation to recognize any student as having a disability until that student has established eligibility with this office.  To ensure the provision of reasonable and appropriate services, students must first with the OARS along with  providing documentation.  The records kept in our office are strictly confidential and are not part of a student’s academic record.  

Documentation as eligibility criteria includes the following:

Verification of diagnosis(es) and severity of disabling condition prepared by a qualified professional.

Detailed description of how the disability impacts the student’s ability to have equal access to the С²ÝÓ°Ôº Community.
